In August, dozens of medical students and young doctors from all over the world will bike up the Rhine River, passing through Germany, France and Switzerland on their way to the 2010 IPPNW World Congress in Basel. Along the route, participants will make their call for a Nuclear Weapons Free Europe heard, meet with politicians, hold public demonstrations, and visit the last remaining nuclear weapons base in Germany. The BAN bike tour participants are adding their voices to the loud call for finally removing the remnants of the Cold War from Europe. More than 20 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain, IPPNW youth from East and West, from the wealthy industrialized countries and from the Global South, will join together to Bike Against Nuclear Weapons.

Raffle proceeds will go directly to the IPPNW student movement and the 2010 BAN Tour.
